ONE OF OUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A COMMITTEE IS HOSTING SPIN TOWN HALL FORUMS. THE PURPOSE OF SPIN IS TO GAIN FEEDBACK FROM CITIZENS ON DEVELOPMENT RELATED PROJECTS AND OTHER ITEMS OF INTEREST IN THE COMMUNITY.

THIS IS THE FIRST STAGE IN OUR VERY THOROUGH AND EXHAUSTIVE REVIEW PROCESS FOR NEW DEVELOPMENTS HERE IN SOUTHLAKE, AND WE APPRECIATE YOU BEING PART OF THAT PROCESS.

TONIGHT YOU'LL HEAR A PRESENTATION FROM THE APPLICANT WHO'S LOOKING TO DO POSSIBLY A NEW DEVELOPMENT HERE IN SOUTHLAKE.

YOU WILL GET A CHANCE TO ASK QUESTIONS, BUT THERE WILL NOT BE ANY VOTES TONIGHT, THAT WILL COME LATER WITH THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL.

THE RESTAURANT IS CURRENTLY VACANT.

IN THE MEANTIME, HE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO DEVELOP THE EMPTY PARCEL OF LAND FOR A NEW 6000 SQUARE FOOT RETAIL SHOPPING CENTER.

FOR THE FOR RETAIL AND POSSIBLE RESTAURANT USES.

ON THE SCREEN HERE YOU CAN SEE THE LOCATION OF THE PROPERTY AND THE VACANT AREA THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO DEVELOP.

AS YOU CAN SEE, IT'S PRETTY MUCH ALREADY FULLY DEVELOPED, EXCEPT FOR THE AREA WHERE THE BUILDING PAD WOULD BE LOCATED.

CURRENTLY, IT IS NAMED THE SOUTHLAKE HOTEL WITH THE MARRIOTT FAMILY.

AND FINALLY, IT WILL TRANSITION TO THE ELMORE HOTEL BY MARRIOTT.

A TRIBUTE COLLECTION LIFESTYLE HOTEL.

WE WANTED TO JUST PROVIDE A LITTLE BIT OF A GLIMPSE FOR THE EXISTING AND THE FUTURE RENDERINGS FOR THE INTERIOR, AND THE PURPOSE FOR SHOWING THE INTERIOR IS WE WANTED TO SHOW THEN OUR REQUEST FOR CHANGES FROM THE EXTERIOR TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR THAT OUR EXTERIOR CHANGES ALIGN WITH OUR INTERIOR CHANGES.

AND AS YOU CAN SEE, WHAT WE ARE PROPOSING IS FOR THE BRICK TO HAVE MORE OF THAT LIGHTER MODERN FEEL AND OUR STUCCO AREAS AND OUR CANOPY TO HAVE ALSO THAT WARMTH WITH THE URBAN BRONZE.

WE'RE ALSO ADDING A WOOD SCREENING, WHICH IS A DECORATIVE PIECE AND A FUNCTIONAL PIECE THAT PROVIDES A PRIVACY AREA FOR OUR GUESTS THAT ARE IN THAT LOBBY TO PROVIDE THAT ADDITIONAL LAYER OF PRIVACY.
